Ms. Widder has over 30 years’ experience in the preparation and filing of Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases. 

Education

 

Karen received an Associate of Arts degree from Portland Community College, Portland, Oregon in 1977.  Additionally, she received extensive training through Portland Community College's Legal Assistant Program.

 

Other Experience

 

Prior to joining our bankruptcy team, Karen was employed by several of the top West Coast bankruptcy firms/groups including Murphy Weir & Butler in San Francisco, and Miller Nash and Stoel Rives in Portland, Oregon.

 

Presentations

 

Karen was a co-presenter with Tom Willoughby at a training program for bankruptcy trustees sponsored by the Sacramento Office of the United States Trustee in June 1997.

 

 

 

 

 

Ms. Widder works directly with clients to gather the information needed for the Petition, Schedules and Statement of Financial Affairs.  Ms. Widder is also experienced in drafting all types of pleadings for Debtor, Creditor and Trustee representations including, but not limited to, applications to employ professionals, fee motions, proofs of claim, objections to claims, and motions for relief from the automatic stay.  Ms. Widder is also experienced in preparing detailed claims analyses for claim objections and performing on-line UCC and corporate information searches.
